大陸一名到新加坡留學的學生「孫旭」，因為上網辱罵新加坡人是「狗」，引發新加坡人極大憤怒；雖然孫旭日前已經道歉，但是孫旭所就讀的「新加坡國立大學」，仍然表示將調查這起事件。

英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，現年二十五歲的孫旭，是接受新加坡政府獎學金，到新加坡唸書的中國學生，目前在「新加坡國立大學」「機械工程系」就讀四年級。報導說，孫旭日前在微博上留言說，他不小心撞到新加坡人後，總是會被人瞪，他甚至還說，一些中年老癟三，被撞了還碎碎唸，在新加坡，簡直是「狗比人多」。

孫旭的留言迅速被轉貼到新加坡的「公民記者網站」以及社交網站，想當然耳地立即引發大批新加坡網友砲轟，指他花新加坡納稅人的錢來讀書，卻反過來侮辱新加坡人。
